From Me to You
If you’ve ever sat in a crowded salon, rushed through an appointment, or walked away feeling like you weren’t truly seen - I understand, because I’ve lived it too.
My journey into beauty began at 16, taking trips to a hidden-away nail salon with my mum. Later, I brought my daughter, hoping to share something special. But instead of connection, I left with sore nails, no real choice, and a growing sense that beauty was something to endure - not enjoy. The space didn’t feel safe, and as my anxiety worsened after having my second child, I realised I dreaded the very moments that were meant to feel like self-care.
So I started doing it myself. I bought a kit, trained online, and practised on family and friends. As my confidence grew, I invested in in-person training and launched my own business - one built entirely around the experience I wished I’d had all those years ago.
2017
Just starting out - feeling overwhelmed with my weight and relationship. Nails helped me find a purpose.
2020
After leaving a toxic marriage, moving counties, going through covid whilst battling cancer. My purpose never left.
2025
The woman I am today. Confident with purpose and a dream. Not perfect, but happy.
It Was Never Just Nails
There wasn’t a single defining moment - just hundreds of little ones. A client smiles as she sees her nails after years of hiding them. Someone saying, “I finally feel like me again.” Or when I explain why her nails were sore and she lights up with understanding.
That’s when I knew: I wasn’t just changing appearances - I was helping women feel heard, respected, and confident again.
Beauty That Goes Deeper
After 8 years in the nail industry, I found myself craving something deeper. I’d grown tired of the politics, the comparison, the endless noise. I needed more purpose. I’ve always loved learning, so I began training in advanced skin treatments and aesthetics - not to replace nails, but to add another layer to the care I offer.
This wasn’t just a career move. It was part of a much deeper healing journey.
After living through trauma, I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from your body. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and not recognise yourself - or to feel like no one else really sees you either.
That’s what led me into aesthetics. Not to chase perfection, but to help women feel safe in their skin again. To support confidence, not change identity. To offer something I didn’t have when I needed it most - real care, grounded in compassion and expertise.
Aesthetics became a way to deepen the healing I was already offering through nails - to move beyond beauty trends and help women rebuild their relationship with their reflection.
The Bare Beauty Experience
Bare Beauty & Aesthetics is a home-based, award-winning clinic in Whitchurch, Bristol. But it’s more than that. It’s a space exclusively designed for women who need time, privacy, peace, and real care.
You’ll never be rushed here. Whether it’s a 2-hour nail transformation with your favourite drink, or an advanced skin treatment with aromatherapy, music, and time to relax - this is your space.
You’ll be offered aftercare, soothing creams, and a hot drink to take with you - because care shouldn’t end when the appointment does.
I remember my clients’ preferences. I listen. I make space for silence if needed.
Because I know what it’s like to feel nervous or unsure.
And I believe beauty should never feel like a performance.
